Aircraft Mechanic

AFA created the Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic training program due to the lack of training schools in the field of aircraft maintenance in Tunisia and to meet the demands of the job market. Many AFA-trained aircraft mechanics have been recruited by national and international airlines such as Tunisair Technics, Sabena Technics, GAMCO (Abu Dhabi Gulf Aircraft Maintenance), and Qatar Airways.

Ground Handling Agent

The Ground Handling Agent is part of an airline's commercial services, working at airport passenger service counters, assisting customers during boarding and disembarkation. The agent handles all passenger and baggage check-in operations and takes care of unaccompanied minors, elderly passengers, or those with disabilities.

Flight Dispatcher

A lesser-known but crucial profession, the Flight Operations Officer is a key figure in the aviation industry. Responsible for flight planning, passenger and cargo handling, and ground assistance, this role requires a wide range of skills. Before departure, the crew receives a briefing from the operations officer containing the technical and commercial data necessary for the flight.

According to flightglobal.com, the civil aviation industry will need a total of 484,000 pilots by 2029 - about 426,000 for airlines and 58,000 for business aircraft crews, although 50% of these pilots have not yet started training.

The Asia-Pacific region will need the largest number of pilots – around 91,000 over 10 years, which accounts for about a third of the total demand. North America will need 65,000 new pilots combined, Europe 42,000, the Middle East 25,000, South and Central America 16,000, and Africa 4,000, according to CAE.
