There is a strong demand for pilots nowadays. Young men and women are highly sought after to join flight training academies. The aviation industry is thriving. 264,000 new pilots will be needed over the next decade. There has never been a better time to become a pilot! According to flightglobal.com, the civil aviation industry will need a total of 484,000 pilots by 2029 - about 426,000 for airlines and 58,000 for business aircraft crews, although 50% of these pilots have not yet started training.

The Asia-Pacific region will need the largest number of pilots – around 91,000 over 10 years, which accounts for about a third of the total demand. North America will need 65,000 new pilots combined, Europe 42,000, the Middle East 25,000, South and Central America 16,000, and Africa 4,000, according to CAE.
